Sleep is important for our bodies to restore and rejuvenate, synthesise hormones, detoxify, repair and grow muscle tissue. Lack of sleep or poor quality sleep can impact blood pressure, stress, cardiovascular disease and cause weight gain.
Create habits around bedtime that improve sleep hygiene. Try going to bed at the same time each night, sleeping in a dark cool room, avoiding screens a few hours before bed and limiting intensive conversations in the evenings. There are some beautiful herbal medicines that can also help.
