Exceptional Facilities

Gwinganna's facilities provide everything you need for the ultimate wellness experience. There are two heated swimming pools, a spacious dining room, numerous relaxation areas and lounges, an extensive spa and a boutique store.

The Spa Sanctuary is a haven for spa treatments and relaxation. A journey through three individual buildings that come together in circular form to create the entire spa compound of 1500sqm over three levels. Utilising an indoor/outdoor design with three towering ancient gum trees as the centrepiece, you are completely surrounded by nature. This is a space to be nurtured, to relax and to experience treatments that are unique to Gwinganna.

Features

Part of the original buildings at Gwinganna, the dining room is a place to gather and experience delicious organic cuisine both indoors and outdoors. With plenty of space to relax or chat, part of the dining room also overlooks the infinity edge relaxation pool.

An infinity edge lap pool with views to the Gold Coast is a highlight of the activity areas for water based training sessions, swimming laps or just relaxation. Heated for comfort, the pool is used all year round, while the adjoining sauna is the perfect addition before or after your pool session.

The spacious pavilion is built from reclaimed timbers with view to the valley and ocean. A stunning venue for many activity sessions from stretch to yoga and dance.

Features

Many activity sessions are held in and around this striking two level mutli-purpose facility built from reclaimed timbers. The ground floor features the gymnasium and private consultation rooms. An extensive range of Technogym equipment will provide everything you need for effective indoor resistance training or personal training sessions. On the second level, private sessions incorporate Pilates resistance training equipment.

Gwinganna's stunning Wellness Education complex opened in 2018, providing a custom designed space for wellness seminars and presentations. It features a full suite of audio visual equipment, wellness consultation rooms and a large outdoor deck, along with undercover parking spaces. Each stay at Gwinganna includes a focus on wellness education with informative seminars by leading practitioners and special guest presenters, providing guests with the very latest information to help them realise their healthiest intentions.

The Iyengar yoga studio is the only studio of its kind at an Australian retreat and is quite different to Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa and Restorative yoga. You will find yoga mats set with bolsters, blankets, blocks, special chairs and ropes hanging from the wall. These props work to help you feel supported and relaxed.

One of the original buildings on the property has been restored into a dispensary for herbs and supplements, and consultation rooms for naturopathy, nutrition and various wellness therapies.

Built from repurposed stone and bluestone the ampitheatre is set beside the dining room and often hosts pre-dinner gatherings and impromptu musical experiences.

The Store at Gwinganna is located in one of the heritage buildings and provides a haven of beautiful gifts and essential items to use during your stay or to take home. It stocks all the incidentals you may have forgotten to bring with you. Many of the items available are unique to Gwinganna or brought to you by some of our key practitioners. The online store also stocks some of the most popular items from the retreat.
